"With their unusually versatile concert program, the multigenre duo DUIMA drew around 40 listeners to the Aeterno in Bergneustadt on Saturday evening. The audience experienced not only vocals, dance, violin, guitar and poetry. For many, it was likely a completely new experience to hear the duo combine multiple genres — including classical music, musical theater, pop and jazz — within a single song.

In doing so, the two genre-crossers created a multigenre style that conveyed the depth of their lyrics in a particularly rich and nuanced way. Texts by Rilke, Shakespeare and Emily Dickinson, as well as original poetry, were sung, spoken or interpreted through dance by opera singer and songwriter Isabel Wamig with expressive versatility. The emotional intensity was deepened by the sensitive and virtuosic guitar playing of jazz and pop guitarist Micha Lorenz.
The program included works by composers Christoph Enzel and Rupert Schnitzler, written specifically for the duo’s unique instrumentation. The evening also featured original compositions and arrangements by the artists themselves."

We at "Das Haus der Schönen Dinge" have had the pleasure of hosting DUIMA for two concerts in our space so far. Communication with Isabel and Micha was excellent, and they took the time to answer all of our questions. Everything ran smoothly and efficiently, with no trace of diva-like behavior. Isabel and Micha are authentic and approachable.
Their live program is truly special — visually beautiful and a feast for the ears, offering a unique blend of sounds.
All in all, we would gladly host another evening with DUIMA at any time and can highly recommend them.

DUIMA... What can I say? This is the second time we’ve had the pleasure of experiencing a DUIMA concert at the Haus der schönen Dinge. And it really is an experience! It’s hard to describe—you really have to be there! Jazz, opera, pop, dance, and poetry come together, allowing the soul to immerse itself in a symphony of lightness and depth. Isabel and Micha really connect with the audience. I highly recommend an evening with DUIMA. Simply enchanting!

I’ve had the pleasure of seeing the wonderful Duo DUIMA perform many times, and i would do it again and again.

I find Isabel’s and Micha’s intensity of expression, their sensitivity to the unique character of each song, and the way their play blends together is deeply mouving.

Their stylistic diversity and precision are truly impressive, always supported by a personal closeness to the work and an authentic interpretation.
